State Board Of Agriculture To Review Rules And Regulations, Per Legislative Mandate |

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The North Carolina Board of Agriculture will be following up next week on a General Assembly mandate that agencies review their rules to determine if they're necessary.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Martin Building at the State Fairgrounds.
The board will review the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ analysis of a portion of its rules. The rules and determinations will then be posted on the department’s website for public comment for at least 60 days.
The Board of Agriculture is a policymaking body that adopts regulations for many of the programs administered by the agriculture department.
Members are appointed by the governor. The commissioner of agriculture, Steve Troxler, serves as chairman.
