Highway Patrol Memorial Service To Honor Troopers Killed In Line Of Duty PDF Print E-mail

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Department of Public Safety Secretary Frank Perry will be among those honoring the 62 North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers who've died in the line of duty.

 
The memorial service will take place Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Highway Patrol Training Academy at 3318 Garner Road in Raleigh.
 
“The ultimate sacrifice made by the 62 members of the Highway Patrol will not be forgotten for decades to come.” said Colonel Bill Grey, commander of the Highway Patrol in a statement.  “Each member who has given their life in the line of duty provides a constant reminder how dangerous our chosen profession is.”
 
Department of Public Safety Secretary Frank Perry, Colonel Bill Grey, the Highway Patrol Cassion Unit, state and local law enforcement, and relatives of the members to be honored will be on hand for this event.
