RALEIGH, (AP) — U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan and experts in job creation and education are gathering to talk about what needs to happen to create more jobs in North Carolina.

 
The state's junior senator scheduled a "Back to Work Jobs Summit" for Friday morning at the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center in Raleigh. State Commerce Secretary Keith Crisco, community college system President Scott Ralls and other state and local leaders will participate in a discussion on workforce and economic development.
 
Hagan's office said she's held 16 previous meetings across the state to talk about ways to get more North Carolina residents employed.
