$5,000 Reward Offered In Clayton Murder Case Print

The State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Garrett Howard Bridges, age 24.

On July 2, 2016, at approximately 12:59 a.m. Mr. Bridges was asleep in the living room of a home on Herndon Court in Clayton. Two unknown suspects forcibly entered the residence through the rear door. Mr. Bridges ran to a nearby bedroom where he held the door closed to try to prevent the suspects from entering the room. The suspects fired a handgun at the door striking Mr. Bridges in the chest and killing him.
