RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A $1,000 reward is being offered in an effort to catch the culprits responsible for a fire on the Outer Banks that burned 250 acres.

The Nature Conservancy is offering the reward, according to the Associated Press. It owns the land in the Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve.

The fire occured in late March. The Conservancy says investigators determined it was man-made.
