RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Newly re-elected Fayetteville Mayor Nat Robertson has been appointed to the state's workforce development group.

"Working collaboratively with workforce program leaders, the commission leads in the development of policies and strategies which enable the state’s workforce to compete in the current and future global economy," according to the appointment statement.

Robertson won the race with 52 percent of the vote. It is the second time he vanquished his challenger, Val Applewhite.
