RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - City and county managers have an opportunity to learn how to use data to assess local government efficient and effectiveness in a course hosted by UNC School of Government.

The one-day workshop will be held August 28. Performance Measurement 101: Designing Measures in Local Government for Accountability and Results focuses on the fundamentals of performance measurement and the design of measures that strengthen local government performance.

According to the course description, participants will discuss the criteria for a good set of measures, tips for developing or refining performance measures, and the use of standards or benchmarks in performance comparisons.
