RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Casey Mann used to lead the state's Democratic Party but now she's hoping to become an elected official herself.

Mann announced this week that she will see a seat on the board of commissioners in the Chatham County town of Pittsboro.

Pittsboro is also home to the party's former chairman, Randy Voller, who is the former mayor of the town.
