RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A bill authorizing the addition of the Fonta Flora Loop Trail in Burke County to the State Parks System is among those signed into law this week by Gov. Pat McCrory.

House Bill 39 impacts the Fonta Flora Loop Trail. The full bill text  can be found at ncleg.net.

Other bills signed this week:

S.B. 7 - A bill allowing food stands to provide tables and chairs for customers to use while consuming drinks or food upon the premises, and authorizing pushcarts or mobile food units to prepare and serve food on the premises, provided that they are based from a commissary or restaurant located on the premises of a facility containing three thousand permanent seats.
 
S.B. 716 - A bill directing the North Carolina Utilities Commission to render an expedited decision, under certain conditions, on an application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity for an applicant to construct a generating facility that uses natural gas as the primary fuel. A bill modifying certain requirements under the Coal Ash Management Act of 2014 for coal ash surface impoundments located on sites at which all coal-fired generating units present on those sites will permanently cease operations by January 31, 2020.
 
S.B. 621 - A bill authorizing the Division of Motor Vehicles to send motor vehicle registration renewal notification by electronic means upon receiving written consent from the owner of the motor vehicle.
S.B. 488 - A bill amending the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act and making changes to the administration of Child Support Services that will result in more effective and efficient collection and payment of child support to families.
 
H.B. 812 - A bill ensuring that information on grant funds awarded by state agencies is readily available on state agency websites.
 
H.B. 86 - A bill requiring the Department of Transportation to pay the non-betterment cost of relocating water and sewer lines owned by local boards of education.
 
 
S.B. 301 - A bill exempting the Department of Transportation from the required approval of the Council of State when purchasing contaminated property, as recommended by the Department of Transportation.
 
S.B. 596 - A bill clarifying the existing law regarding the enforcement of foreign-country judgments.
 
S.B. 682 - A bill limiting the use of contingent-based contracts for audit or assessment purposes.
 
H.B. 154 - A bill authorizing units of local government to enroll their employees and departments in the State Health Plan.
 
S.B. 212 - A bill allowing successful completion by a retired sworn law enforcement officer of the handgun qualifications for active sworn law enforcement officers to be sufficient for purposes of a concealed handgun permit.
