RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolina's agriculture business is expected to benefit when a new cold storage facility opens at the Port of Wilmington. Officials broke ground on the 101,000 square foot operation on June 2.

NC Ports Chief Executive Officer Paul J. Cozza said the facility will allow protein producers to lower their cost of doing business to ship products overseas.

Construction will begin soon. The cold storage facility should be open for business by summer 2016.
