RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - David Sherrill of Greensboro and Jefferson Griffin of Raleigh will take seats as District Court judges in Guilford and Wake counties.

Sherrill will fill the 18th Judicial District vacancy created by the retirement of District Court Judge William K. “Pete” Hunter.

Griffin will the vacancy in the 10th Judicial District created by the passing of District Court Judge Jennifer M. Green.

 Sherrill has operated his own general law practice in Greensboro since 2005. Prior to that, he served as a litigation associate specializing in medical malpractice in the Greensboro offices of Crumley and Associates in 2004 and the Law Offices of Wade Byrd in 2003-2004.

Sherill is an NC Central Law School graduate and a registered nurse.

Griffin has served an assistant district attorney in the Wake County District Attorney's Office. He also earned his law degree from NC Centeral's Law School.
