Report Summary:

Investigators determined that Eastpointe’s former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) facilitated apparent kickbacks totaling $547,595 from two Eastpointe contractors. Additionally, the former CFO, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and other employees used Eastpointe credit cards to make $157,565 of questionable purchases. Inadequate oversight by Eastpointe’s Area Board and the CEO contributed to these and other operational failures.
