RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Mohawk Industries will expand its manufacturing footprint in Rockingham County over the next five years, with plans to invest $8 million in the city of Eden and create 105 new jobs.

Mohawk is the world's largest flooring manufacturer, according to Gov. Pat McCrory's office. The company already employs more than 170 people in Eden, producing the Karastan brand of carpets and rugs. More than 1,200 work for Mohawk statewide.

The new jobs will run the gamut, from machine operators, maintenance, and support staff to members of the management team. The annual salary range for the new jobs will be $35,000 to $40,000. The average annual salary for Rockingham County is $34,446.
