RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The Guilford County city of High Point is set to gain 100 new jobs over the next five years as Packrite, LLC expands its operations. The jobs will come with an $8.9 million investment from the firm in the first year.

The new jobs will be in the areas of die cutting, shipping, maintenance, accounting, and more.

Packrite is a fairly new company that makes specialied packaging, according to the jobs announcement. It was founded in 2008 and currently employos 78 people. The company is also known for using environmentally friendly manufacturing and recycling processes.

The project was made possible in part by a performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund of up to $100,000. The One NC Fund provides financial assistance, through local governments, to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the state. Companies receive no money up front and must meet job creation and investment performance standards to qualify for the reimbursement. These grants also require and are contingent upon local matches.
