RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Rebecca Eggers-Gryder has been appointed District Court Judge in the 24th Judicial District. Eggers-Gryder will fill the vacancy created by the governor’s appointment of former Chief District Court Judge Gregory Horne to the Superior Court bench in December 2014.
 
The district covers Watauga, Avery, Mitchell, Yancey and Madison counties.

She was appointed by Gov. Pat McCrory.
 
Eggers-Gryder has been a trial lawyer in Watauga County for nearly 30 years, practicing in the areas of family law, juvenile law, custody, alimony, post-separation support, divorces and equitable distribution and criminal law.

She has worked with the family law firm of Eggers, Eggers, Eggers and Eggers, PLLC, since being admitted to the North Carolina Bar. She has served as county attorney for Watauga County and as attorney for the Town of Seven Devils.
