RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A component of last year's regulatory reform bill will impact som elocal government development plan review procedures, and the trade association that represents localities is reminding members to be prepared.

The League of Municipalities (NCLM) details the changes on its website and two questions local officials should ask themselves to determine if they're impacted.

"Examples of program areas that must follow the new requirements (detailed below) include those that review sedimentation/erosion control, stormwater, and water/sewer designs. Notably, review of transportation designs is NOT subject to these new requirements," reads the NCLM posting.

The posting also says NCLM is working with other organizations on a "reporting template and guidance." The template will be ready in December.
