Farmville and Plymouth Get Boosts In State Funding For Water and Sewer Projects PDF Print E-mail

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The N.C. Division of Water Infrastructure this week announced increases in the amount of money Farmville and Plymouth will receive as part of the state program’s remaining Community Development Block Grant Infrastructure funding. according to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

Plymouth will receive an additional $195,880 to complete a water line rehab project.

Farmville will receive an additional $40,500 to connect its sewer line to homes in the area.

The boost in funding comes after the towns, along with 13 others, received a total of $26.1 million.

Other communities who received funding earlier this year are Magnolia, West Jefferson, Hoffman, Roper, Rhodhiss, Garland and Mount Olive.

Counties receiving awards were Wilson, Tyrrell, Pitt and Halifax.

Decisions on the program’s next round of funding will be made Dec. 11.
