GREENSBORO, (AP) — HondaJet says it is spending $19 million to expand its world headquarters at Piedmont Triad International Airport near Greensboro.
The News & Record of Greensboro reports HondaJet officials mentioned the expansion during the 2014 National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida.
A news release on the company's website says the expansion is designed to accommodate increasing sales and to add a hangar for delivery preparation.
Construction includes a nearly 50,000-square-foot expansion of the main headquarters building and a 24,405-square-foot hangar for aircraft production and delivery. The projects are scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2015.
