RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - An effort to make state government more efficient and nimble is taking shape at the Department of Transportation with a consolidation of Triangle and Triad traffic management centers.

The Triangle Business Journal reports that dispatching of motorist assistance patrols -- known as IMAP -- will move from the Triad to the Triangle. Also moving is management of overhead message signs.

According to the newspaper, half a dozen contract employees are impacted.
