The StarNews of Wilmington reports that EUE/Screen Gems Studios has opened the production office and that the film has been scouting locations in the area.

 

Principal photography is expected to begin this summer.

 

The newspaper reports that the film entitled "We're the Millers" will also star Jason Sudeikis of "Saturday Night Live." It is a comedy about a marijuana dealer who creates a fake family in order to run his business.

 

State film office officials say North Carolina's enhanced film industry incentives are helping to spur additional activity in the state. The agency hopes to lure productions to locations outside Wilmington as well.
