WILMINGTON, (AP) — A development team has unveiled details of financing for a minor league baseball stadium in Wilmington.

Under the plan, the Flywheel-Trask Development group would take out a 30-year loan to finance a stadium costing as much as $36 million, excluding the cost of land.

Under the proposal presented to city council on Tuesday, the Atlanta Braves and their operating partner Mandalay Baseball Properties would pay about a third of the debt with the city paying the rest.

The private group would own the stadium so the facility would be paying the city property taxes.

The plan does not include any financial contribution from New Hanover County.
