RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - They saved the U.S. taxpayer $121 billion and for their efforts, forty-three career federal employees have been awarded the Presidential Distinguished Rank award for 2015.
James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, keynoted the awards banquet held last week.
A list of the winners, by agency, can be found at opm.gov.
According to the website, two types of awards are handed out.
** Distinguished Rank Recipients
These individuals are recognized for sustained extraordinary accomplishment, and receive a cash award of 35 percent of their base salary. Only one percent of the career SES or SL/ST may receive this rank.
** Meritorious Rank Recipients
These individuals are recognized for sustained accomplishment, and receive a cash award of 20 percent of their base salary. No more than five percent of career SES or SL/ST members may receive this award.
