RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Following his final State of the Union address, President Obama has instructed Cabinet officials to tour the United States to promote his agenda. According to commerce.gov, one of those items is climate change.

"Under President Obama’s leadership, the United States paved the way for a historic climate agreement in Paris, which includes more than 190 countries and lays the foundation for keeping the rise in global temperatures to below 2 degrees Celsius," according to a posting at commerce.gov.

"The Agreement accelerates the world’s transition to a clean energy future, encouraging the development and deployment of cutting-edge technologies. No country is better positioned to meet the world’s demand for innovative new technologies than the United States."
