RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The federal workforce will grow under President Obama's executive actions to tighten the rules on who can sell and own firearms.
A White House fact sheet notes that the FBI "will hire more than 230 additional examiners and other staff to help process these background checks."
Federalnewsradio.com writes that the hirings will nearly double the number of examiners.
The president's plan also proposes $500 million in new spending "to increase access to mental health care."
