RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Federal court caseloads were down in 2015 according to the 2015 report on the federal judiciary issued by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.

Case filings to the Supreme Court were down by 4.65 percent in the year ending September 30. Filings in U.S. District Courts were off by 6 percent while bankruptcy petition filings dropped by 11 percent.

The report notes the opposite was true for the number of people under post-conviction supervision -- up 2 percent.
