RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A new fee-for-service product  from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) will operate as a consulting group to domestic and international groups that function as accountability watchdogs.

The Center for Audit Excellence lists its services as:

--improve their capacity to conduct performance and financial audits

-- develop and implement sound quality assurance frameworks, strategic plans, and human capital strategies

--enhance leadership and supervisory skills in effectively overseeing audits

-- implement relevant INTOSAI and U.S. government audit and internal control standards.
