RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Pressure from outraged lawmakers appears to have been too much for Office of Personnel Management Katherine Archuleta. After saying she would stay in her job following news of a massive data break for current and former federal workers, Archuleta turned in her resignation.

More than 20 million people are estimated to be affected by the cyber hack, which took sensitive personal data including Social Security numbers.

Deputy Director Beth Cobert will step in to lead the agency until a new director is appointed.

The latest breach comes on top of a first breach that impacted more than 4 million people.
