RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Ten federal agencies are without inspectors general, and the vacancies led 16 members of a U.S. Senate committee to write a letter urging President Obama to fill the posts.

Federal News Radio reports that the letter from the Senate Homeland Secrity and Government Affairs Committee points out that one agency -- Interior -- hasn't had an Inspector General in more than six years.

The letter can be found at http://www.ronjohnson.senate.gov/public/_cache/files/65169b36-d53a-4ec4-b2a7-b384f8243ce6/hsgac-letter-potus-re-ig-vacancies.pdf
