RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Do your job more efficiently now, and make plans to be even more efficient with your footprint in the future. That's the message from an Office and Management and Budget memo that is expected to be released today, according to FederalNewsRadio.com.

Today's expected communication is a follow-up to the effort by the federal government to reduce the amount of real property used by the government and, thus, reduce costs. The "Freeze the Footprint" policy began in 2013.

The agencies will be told to develop a five-year plan to reduce their footprint.

The website reports that, so far, agencies have reduced their footprint by 21 million square feet.
