RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - It's a welcome Merry Christmas present for federal government employees. President Obama on Friday signed an executive order giving workers a 1 percent pay raise.
Federal employees will also receive a retroactive mass transit subsidy of $250 per month, retroactive to the first of the year.
Last year, workers also received 1 percent pay hike, but some complained that the raise doesn't keep up with the rising cost of living, according to Federal News Radio.
