RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The backlash to President Obama's immigration executive order could include holding up approval of his judicial nominees, according to a recommendation by Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, who appeared this weekend on Fox News Sunday.

Possibly ensnared in that tug-of-war is Loretta Lynch, the president's choice for Attorney General, replacing embattled AG Eric Holder. Lynch hails from North Carolina.

Cruz told host Chris Wallace the Republicans, who will control the Senate come January, must respond to what he considers an unprecedented power brag by the president to act with congressional approval to allow up to 5 million illegal immigrants to be shielded from deportation.
