RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Obtaining a federal security clearance could get sticky for people who freely post their views, opinions, and associations on social media.

Federal News Radio reports that intelligence officials are using volunteers in "good standing" for pilot progerams that look at if/how officials can/should use the Internet, court records, and real estate data to evaluate whether someone should be given clearance.

Officials hope to analyze the results and come to a conclusion by the end of the year.

The Federal News Radio story says the federal government is also looking at continual monitoring of those with clearance, rather than periodic reviews.

The complete story can be found at federalnewsradio.com.
