Senate Nominates 10 To UNC System Board Print

The Senate has nominated 10 people for six seats on the UNC Board of Governors. They join 14 people who have been nomintated by the House of Representatives. All 28 members of the UNC Board of Governors are elected by the General Assembly. 
 
The Senate nominees are: 
 
Nigel Alston, executive director of the N.C. Black Repertory Company, Winston-Salem
Tom Fetzer, a lobbyist, former Mayor of Raleigh and  North Carolina Republican Party chair, Raleigh
Frankie Jones, Sr., CEO of a farming operation in Alamance County
Randall Ramsey, president Jarrett Bay Boatworks, Beaufort
Bob Rucho, former state senator and retired dentist, Matthews
Dr. Laura Staton, retired medical consultant, Chocowinity
Marty Kotis, CEO Kotis Properties, Greensboro 
Scott Lampe, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Hendrick Motorsports, Charlotte
Steve Long, attorney, Raleigh  
Harry Smith, Jr., business executive, Greenville.
