RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Department of Defense school teacher Frederick Stokes will take a seat on North Carolina's Early Childhood Advisory Council. He was appointed to the post by Gov. Pat McCrory.

Stokes taught in the North Carolina Public School System for five years before accepting a position as a first grade teacher with the Department of Defense School System at Camp Lejune.

The council develops, encourages and supports initiatives to strengthen the state's early childhood system to achieve the best possible outcomes for the state's young children.
