RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The state's Academic Standards Review Commission will meet August 18 to continues its review of Common Core education standards for math and English.

The commission was charged by the General Assembly with reviewing the hotly debated Common Core education standards and to propose modifications to ensure that those standards meet all of the criteria listed in Section 2(c) of Senate Bill 812.
