RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Scott Ralls will leave his post as head of the state's Community College System with a coveted civilian honor in his hands.

On Wednesday, Ralls received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine to cap his service to the state. He will soon leave his post to become president of Northern Virginia Community College, a six-campus community college with 75,000 degree-seeking students in the Washington suburbs.
