RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Nearly 150 public charter schools are operating in North Carolina. All 146 schools are listing alphabetically on the website of the state's Department of Public Instruction.

The site includes contact information for the 16 additional schools that will open in August.

The site also carries a map that plots the schools by county and region of the state.
