RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Chancellor Randy Woodson called it a "transformational" gift to the university. And at the very least, the $16 million donation announced this week for the NC State veterinary school will allow the college to double its scholarship fund.
The donation was made by the Randall B. Terry Charitable Foundation.
The money will also be used for professor salaries and research, according to Woodson.
NC State's veterinary school is nationally renowned. U.S. News data shows it is tied for third place nationally with Colorado State University.
