RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - This week's public education web higlights include data relatd to new school report cards and the latest from the State Board of Education. Highlights can be found at ncpublicschools.org.

1. SRC Data Set on the Web
The data set used to build the 2013-14 NC School Report Cards is now available on the School Report Card website at  http://www.ncpublicschools.org/src/researchers/. A data dictionary is included that provides descriptions of the data elements for each data table. A zip file at the bottom of the page contains all tables to download.


2. Application, Review Open for NC Application for IDEA Grant
The State Application for receiving grant award under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) for the NCDPI is available for public review through May 6, and public comment beginning March 23 - April 24. To view the proposed State Application, please visit  http://ec.ncpublicschools.gov and scroll to “Hot Topics.

3. February’s SBE Newsletter Online
The February newsletter for the State Board of Education, “From the Board Room,” is available on the State Board of Education website at  http://stateboard.ncpublicschools.gov/sbe-newsletter/2015-newsletter. Read about the School Performance Grades, the state’s first virtual charter school and our Career and Technical teacher and administrator of the year.

Check out the latest Teacher Spotlight featuring – a trio of teachers from West Craven Middle School. See how Sue Zingher, Haley Brown and Deborah Roll share collaboratively, select questions, develop and administer assessments, and analyze their data from the Schoolnet Item Bank and Schoolnet Reports.
