RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - State Superintendent June Atkinson will hold a media briefing on the School Performance Grades immediately following the conclusion of the State Board of Education Meeting (around 11:45 a.m.) on Thursday, Feb. 5.

The briefing will be held in Room 224 of the Education Building, 301 N. Wilmington Street, Raleigh.

North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Accountability Services Director Tammy Howard and North Carolina School Report Cards State Coordinator Diane Dulaney will join Atkinson at the briefing to respond to questions as appropriate regarding the School Performance Grades and the North Carolina School Report Cards.

The School Performance Grades, which reflect student performance data from the 2013-14 school year, are being released for the first time as part of the North Carolina School Report Cards. State Board of Education members will receive a presentation on the School Performance Grades toward the conclusion of their Thursday morning Board meeting. School Performance Grades for
North Carolina public schools and public charter schools may be accessed on the North Carolina School Report Cards website at www.ncpublicschools.org/src on Thursday simultaneous with the Board presentation (approximately 11 a.m.).
