RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The state's education agency has released its latest web highlights for teachers, parents, and administrators. The Department of Public Instrucction list includes a parent portal guide for parents.

In her latest blog post, State Superintendent June Atkinson highlights the valuable role that school counselors play in the academic and personal success of students in North Carolina’s public schools. 2. 2014-15 Education Directory Now Online
 
The Education Directory for 2014-15 is available online at  http://www.ncpublicschools.org/nceddirectory/. In addition to the full version, the directory also is available in three sections:
 
Section 1- State Agency
Section 2 – Association and Commissions
Section 3 – Schools
Note: The NCDPI no longer prints or sells print copies of the directory.
 
 
 
3. Parent Portal Guide: How-To for Parents
This new guide walks users through the features of the Parent Portal.
 
Topics for the guide include:
 
A series of Questions and Answers based on early users and program designers.
Tips from schools and school districts regularly using the Parent Portal.
What parents can expect to find in the portal.

4. New Website Keeps Stakeholders Connected to the Latest NCDPI News 
 
The Stay Connected website helps educators, parents and community members stay up-to-date on the most current information about public schools in North Carolina. The Stay Connected website instructs users how to register for email newsletters and directs them to a variety of social media channels related to the NCDPI. 5. School Nutrition Website Features Notable Dates and Deadlines 
 
The School Nutrition website now provides notable dates for conferences and meetings, as well as deadlines for reporting processes and reimbursement on the homepage.
