RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The agenda for this week's State Board of Education meeting has changed. 

 
According to the Department of Public Instruction, the June 4 session will include include presentations on GEAR, the NCDPI’s Implementation Plan for the NC State Board of Education’s Strategic Plan and the Standards Review Process. 
 
The presentation on the Social Studies Standard Course of Study has been removed from the agenda.
 
Committee meeting times also have changed, but most agenda items remain the same. 
 
-  21st Century Professionals Committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the conclusion of the SBE Issues Session.
 
-  Globally Competitive Students Committee will follow at 11:55 a.m. The presentation on the New Schools Project by Dr. Tony Habit has been removed.
 
-  Leadership for Innovation Committee will meet at 1 p.m.
 
-  Healthy, Responsible Students Committee will meet at 1:45 p.m.
 
-  21st Century Systems Committee will meet at 2:20 p.m.
 
The Board will go into closed session at 2:45 p.m., and adjourn at 3:05 p.m.
 
On Thursday, a presentation by the N.C. Association of School Administrators Executive Director Katherine Joyce has been removed from the agenda.
