RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - State Auditor Beth Wood's office has released the results of an audit of the Department of Public Instruction's efforts related to federal compliance. The auditor reports there are one or more findings in the report.

Report Summary:
 
The Department did not fully comply with federal requirements related to the administration of its federal programs. Instances of noncompliance included not maintaining its required maintenance of effort from state sources for the Career and Technical Education grant. 
 
Deficiencies were also noted related to subrecipient monitoring and cash management procedures.
